Odaily Daily News X official announced that an isolated incident occurred this morning, where an investor’s email about transferring vestingToken to a custody Address was hijacked by a Hacker. The Hacker replaced the specific Address, resulting in 1673645 EIGEN Token being mistakenly transferred to HackerAddress. The Hacker has sold these stolen EIGEN Tokens on a Decentralization trading platform and transferred the Stable Coin to a Centralized Exchange. EigenLayer indicates that it is in contact with these platforms and law enforcement agencies. Some funds have been frozen. This attack does not involve the EigenLayer protocol itself, and the protocol or Token contract has not exposed any vulnerabilities. Earlier news, Lookonchain monitoring shows that a certain Address received 1.67 million EIGEN coins from the Eigenlayer team Wallet and completely dumped them at a price of $3.3, equivalent to $5.51 million.
