McDonald's USA responds to the outbreak of E. coli infection: may be related to onions

On October 23rd, Jin10 Data reported that McDonald's (MCD.N) stated that it is taking swift and decisive action in response to an E. coli infection incident in certain states in the United States. Quarter Pounder is temporarily delisted in affected restaurants. McDonald's is working closely with its suppliers and plans to replenish the supply of Quarter Pounders in the coming weeks. Preliminary investigation results show that some illnesses may be related to shredded onions used in Quarter Pounders. The shredded onions are provided by a supplier that serves three distribution centers.
