In the just past January, the container throughput of Shanghai Port exceeded 5 million TEUs, creating a new historical high in monthly throughput. Yangshan Port accounted for more than half of the throughput with 2.53 million TEUs, among which Shanghai Shengdong Terminal, the operating enterprise of Yangshan Phase I and Phase II, set a new record of monthly container throughput since the opening of the port with 0.95 million TEUs.
